With some of the country’s most famous sites, central Vietnam is deservedly popular with visitors. Despite a burgeoning tourism industry and a business-friendly environment – especially in Danang – the area still has its fair share of social problems.
On this journey, guests can witness the best Central Vietnam has to offer while putting their money back into helping the neediest members of communities in the area.
The adventure starts in Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam and a city famous for its mesmerizing tombs, temples and mausoleums. Guest will dine on delicious vegetarian food at a local pagoda/orphanage, learn about the livelihoods of Hue artisans and visit a rehabilitation centre for disabled youth.
From Hue, it is a short hop to the UNESCO-listed town of Hoi An where guests can participate in a traditional painting class at a vocational facility and eat at a restaurant staffed by street kids and other disadvantaged youth.
