Tengchong Departure

Angsana hot spring village – Heshun old town (17 km): approx. 35 minHeshun old town – Tengchong airport (10km): approx. 20min

Spend the morning with a visit to the neighbouring village of Heshun, a former hideaway for overseas Chinese during the Second World War. Heshun became rich thanks to its trade links with Myanmar and is known for its labyrinth of paved roads lined with traditional wooden houses that call to mind old-world China. Visit the daily market, followed by a walk to the stunning Library (the richest in rural China, with over 60,000 volumes) and one of the many Ancestor-worship Temples.

There will also be a chance to visit the Sino-Burmese anti-Japanese War Museum that amply demonstrates the strategic geographical importance of Heshun on the road to Burma.

Transfer to Tengchong airport for the departing flight.
