Itinerary

1

Chiang Mai – Mae Ngat

Cycling: Approximately 60 KmDifficulty: EasyTransfer from Bua Thong Falls to Hotel: 20 min

Today is the perfect day to start the mini-multisport Adventure! Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Then, be  met by the guide at the lobby with the bicycles. Load the luggage in the back-up vehicle and begin cycling from the hotel.

Cross the Chiang Mai roads before rush hour starts and enjoy seeing the city wake up. Observe how the scenery changes in just a moment, see the occasional rice paddy fields situated between houses and villagers.

As the ride continues, there will be more abundant rice paddies and fruit orchards while houses become less and less. After a while, we will reach Mae Kuang Dam, a dam made to save water for the farmers in the area. While cycling over the dam ridge stop the lookout point to soak up the sights and enjoy the scenery.

Stop for lunch at a local eatery somewhere along the way today.

Pass the bridge over the dam and cycle for another while before arriving at the end destination today. It’s time to hop-off the bikes for a refreshing swim. Be met by the driver at the ‘Sticky Waterfalls’ and get changed into swimmers before cooling down in the fresh waterfalls made out of a non-sticky limestone which makes it easy and lots of fun to climb up on.

Hike up to the seven coloured natural spring of the waterfall or simply enjoy the area before taking a  short transfer to the hotel.

Dinner at the hotel.

Overnight at Mae Ngat.

Board the kayaks and explore the hidden corners of the lake. With a little luck, spot some wildlife along the way while paddling and enjoying the morning breeze.

Head back to the raft restaurant for a delicious lunch before going to the shore again by long tail boat.

Time to hop on the bikes again which have been prepared beforehand.

While cycling through the beautiful natural scenery, have a stop at Wat Ban Den, a stunning temple amidst the rice fields, famous for locals who travel from far to make merit here.  Cycle throughout the afternoon and arrive at the hotel just in time for dinner and relaxation.

Have an early night in preparation for tomorrow’s trek.

Lunch will be in the jungle. As the trek continues, see the stunning views along the way before reaching the final stop of today at a local hill tribe village.

Meet the hosts, help them with cooking or simply have a stroll through the village. Enjoy being in a completely different culture, learning about life and listening to the sounds of nature.

Overnight at homestay.
