Take a ride on one of Southeast Asia’s most Iconic Vehicles, the Tuk-Tuk
Complete your Thailand, Laos and Cambodia experience with a ride on the tuk-tuk. These three-wheeled vehicles, also known as the auto rickshaw, are fun to ride and because of its open frame design, are great for city exploration. Each country have different designs unique from each other but share some elements that make tuk-tuks distinctive, such as the afro mentioned three wheels, colorful design and of course that distinctive sound.
Make sure you negotiate the fare with the driver before you hop into the vehicle. And just a warning, fares may cost a little more than a metered taxi. But the tradeoff is that these three wheelers can maneuver through traffic much better than cars. Plus you’ll feel more engaged and involved with the environment in a tuk-tuk than a car.
Come to these three countries and ride a tuk-tuk yourself and see which auto rickshaw from which country you like best.
