So you’ve decided to come to Southeast Asia. And you will be bringing the kids! Wonderful! Just to let you know that Southeast Asia is a child-friendly region. We are more than certain that you and your family will enjoy your time here and have a myriad of unforgettable experiences and memories together.

So, why should you bring your children to Southeast Asia? That’s because the locals here love foreign kids. Just the sight of your children is enough to bring smiles and tons of warm greetings from the locals. They’ll ask about your children and may even bring their own for yours to play with. Your kids will be rock stars in Southeast Asia. The region also holds sincere respect for family. And they may be curious about your family and Western families in general (or families from any other part of the world). Feel free to share you family customs and traditions with them.

If your son/daughter are hard eaters, then not to worry. The region boasts many hotels and restaurants that offer familiar Western dishes on their menus. And who knows? If they see mommy and daddy willing to brave it out and try the exotic here, your children may just follow in your footsteps.

And don’t forget, the weather down here is pretty sunny. Which means two things. Your child will love to participate in outdoor activities or your child may complain about the sunny and humid weather. If the latter happens, here are some tips. Bring cold water along wherever you go. It always helps to hydrate your children. Don’t forget to drink lots of fluids yourself too! Water, juices and soads are sold everywhere, so there is no excuse! You can also purchase cold towels. These are available at many convenience stores and some mom & pop establishments. A hat and some shades may help make your child look cool amidst the warmness.

And speaking of outdoor activities, you children will surely love the beaches, oceans and seaside resorts over here (except in landlocked Laos, but rivers and waterfalls are practically everywhere there). Many hotels and resorts offer nice swimming pools, televisions with cable channels and a fully stocked mini bar. And why not hop on the back of an elephant and explore the surrounding area? The kids will love these giant beasts.

Check out some of our family tours. There’s certainly something for everyone in these fun and memorable holiday deals.
