EXO’s 24 Hour Traveler Assistance

To better reflect our dedicated attention to on-the-ground service for clients, we have renamed our ‘Emergency numbers’ to ‘24 Hrs Customer Care for Travelers’. The numbers are only intended for in-country clients to be able contact our local teams at any time of the day, should they need assistance or face any problems. These numbers should be added to the travel documentation of clients.

Please also note that these numbers are not meant for agents with questions related to a quotation/booking in progress, as the lines are manned by Operations staff only who won’t be able to answer such a query. For sales matters, agents are requested to use the regular email contacts, call our local offices or get in touch with our Sales Offices.

The following terms are to be used in the above:
English: 24 Hrs Customer Care for Travelers
French: 24 Hrs Contact(s) Service aux Voyageurs
Spanish: 24 Hrs Linea(s) de Atención a Viajeros
German: 24 Std Kontakt für Reisegäste

EXO Myanmar Celebrate 20th Anniversary!

On Friday 12th June 2015, EXO Myanmar celebrated their 20th anniversary! To mark the occasion, an anniversary party was held at The Strand Hotel. The celebrations included a live band, a DJ, and even a magician to entertain guests throughout the night. In a nod to Myanmar’s standing as ‘The Golden Country’, the theme of the night was gold. The ballroom shimmered in the rich warm hue and guests donned their best gold attire.

“While it was a lot of work to put together, it was a night that I think people won’t soon forget.” – Moet Moet Zaw

Congratulations go to the entire team at Myanmar for doing such a great job over so many years!

Halong BayHalong Bay Praised by the BBC, Hai Van Pass Offers One of the Most Scenic Drives in the World

The UK’s BBC News recently listed Halong Bay, in the northern province of Quang Ninh, as one of the top 15 most stunning landscapes and rock formations in the world. The striking scenery of the bay, shaped and sculpted over millions of years, holds invaluable clues to Earth’s geological history.

Unsurprisingly, the best way for visitors to delve into the wonders of the bay is to put themselves in the middle of it. Our stunning overnight cruise of the bay provides many opportunities to explore the steep karsts, and relax upon the tranquil waters.

Further south, stretching along the coast, lies another outstanding highlight. Visited for a Top Gear special in 2008, Hai Van Pass, also known as the “Sea Cloud Pass” is a 13-mile road snaking along the Annamese mountains on the edge of the South China Sea. Travelers can hire motorbikes or cars to traverse the pass as part of a one-day loop. Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson stated that the road is “a deserted ribbon of perfection – one of the best coast roads in the world.”

Travelers that are more adventurous can tackle the ascent by bicycle on our 5-day Heritage Ride of Hue and Hoi An. Cycling the pass can be challenging, graded at a moderate to hard difficulty that requires a good level of fitness, but those who undertake the challenge are rewarded by incredibly spectacular views.

IndigoExclusive offer from EXO Thailand:

The Indigo Pearl Phuket is pleased to present a very special offer during this green season from now until 31 Oct 2015 for the room type of Premier Pearl Bed Suite.

The resort offers plenty of relaxation areas, with four swimming pools and chic restaurants and bars with affordable prices. The beach at Nai Yang is quiet and the area is nice if you want to get away from the madness in Patong.

The hotel is a good base for couples and families as the resort also has a well-equipped kids club. It’s just 10 minutes from the airport but without disturbance from the air traffic, making it a perfect spot”.

Makphet EventMakphet Restaurant Leads the Way in Responsible Dining

At the end of May, Peuan Mit and Friends International launched their ChildSafe ’7 Tips for Travelers’ campaign in Laos, with a celebration at Makphet restaurant.

The ChildSafe network is a global child protection system powered by Friends International. It creates protective and supportive networks for children through training, raising awareness and promoting behavioral change among the general population.

Fueled by amazing cocktails and canapés prepared by the Makphet team, the evening provided a superb opportunity to learn more about responsible tourism and how the tourism industry can protect and support children in Lao PDR.
