EVENTS IN MYANMAR
The nation formerly known as Burma has developed immeasurably in recent years. After further (significant) political shifts, Myanmar’s overriding mood of progress continues to grow. While development unfolds rapidly in certain parts, change occurs at a more sedate pace elsewhere, retaining Myanmar’s authentic, old-world Asia charm.

FOR THE TRAILBLAZERS
Despite being a relatively new country on the Southeast Asia tourism trail, Myanmar has established itself as a highly capable MICE destination. It does, however, offer a wholly unique range of destinations and experiences that particularly appeal to the adventure and culture-hungry traveller.
SMALL TO MEDIUM FOCUS
While Myanmar has the ability to host large groups, its current state of development makes it ideal for small to medium-sized groups which can better-leverage its rural charm. Its smaller, untouched regions are ideal for event management and inspiring incentives, while a host of more central venues make for brilliant meeting and conference settings.
BALLOON FLIGHT OVER BAGAN
Observe a majestic sunrise over the temples of Bagan from a hot air balloon and enjoy tea, coffee and croissants while sailing through the sky.
INTHA BOAT RACE IN INLE
The Intha Boat Race takes place during the Phaung Taw Oo Pagoda Festival at Inle Lake. The local Intha people first explain how to “leg row” the vessels, and then it’s time to compete!
SUNSET AND SANDBANK COCKTAIL BY THE IRRAWADDY RIVER
On a cruise on the Irrawaddy River, stop on a remote sand bank in the middle of the river to enjoy rum sour, fruit juice, and Burmese-style tempura during a magnificent sunset.
MONK FOOD DONATION
Donating food at a monastery is a common and traditional way for Burmese people to receive ‘merit’ or good luck. Taking part in this rich tradition and giving alms is a rewarding morning activity.
BEACH EXTENSION NGAPALI
Soak up the pristine white sand beaches, small villages, and fishing camps in and around Ngapali, one of Myanmar’s most idyllic beaches. Enjoy local activities, dine on the beach and meet up with locals to experience their way of life.
LUNCH AT INTHA HOUSE
Experience a traditional lunch in a beautifully restored Intha House, sitting on the floor and eating from low, decorative tables, this is the perfect way to get in touch with Myanmar’s charming culture.

Myanmar is an emerging destination for meetings in Asia. Though its offerings may be limited, it does still boast some fantastic venues such as the 900-guest Traders in Yangon, and a variety of choices in Mandalay and Bagan.
principal destinations in MYANMAR
Myanmar is a collection of unique destinations that are truly a world apart from anything else one can find in Southeast Asia. Warm locals and a rich culture coincide with ancient landmarks and rugged landscapes to make each visit truly unforgettable.
The country’s largest city and most important commercial centre, Yangon offers a fascinating mix of crumbling colonial architecture, market-lined avenues and a downtown area so green it is nicknamed the ‘Garden City of the East’.
A former capital and ancient city sitting in the heart of Myanmar, Bagan is famous for its breathtaking temple ruins. On par with Cambodia’s Angkor complex, over 2,000 pagodas, monasteries and stupas dot the arid plains, reaching as far as the eyes can see.
Located in the Shan State, Inle Lake is the second largest lake in Myanmar with a population of 70,000. Inhabited by the Intha people, these locals are known for their water-bound way of life, unique fishermen with their leg-style rowing and floating homes and temples.
Sitting along the banks of the Irrawaddy River, Mandalay was the last royal capital of Myanmar and has long been considered the country’s cultural centre. The multitude of sites both in and around the city make for a charming and rewarding visit.
Unspoiled pristine beaches are the stamp of Ngapali. Un-crowded high class resorts provide exceptional accommodation with an isolated stretch of coastline spanning 7 kilometers. Serviced only by Thandwe Airport, tourist numbers are low creating a private, exclusive atmosphere.
A melting pot of cultures and a rich colonial background make Myanmar’s offerings one-of-a-kind.
Despite being relatively isolated from the outside world, Myanmar’s colonial background has given it some of the region’s most stunning hotels and resorts.
DINING & VENUES
Being a true melting pot of its surrounding countries, Myanmar’s dining and venue options beautifully reflect its rich background and stately heritage.
From hot air balloons over UNESCO-protected regions to vintage cars through the former capital city, transport in Myanmar is as unique as the destination itself.
