Myanmar
EVENTS IN MYANMAR
The nation formerly known as Burma has developed immeasurably in recent years. After further (significant) political shifts, Myanmar’s overriding mood of progress continues to grow. While development unfolds rapidly in certain parts, change occurs at a more sedate pace elsewhere, retaining Myanmar’s authentic, old-world Asia charm.

FOR THE TRAILBLAZERS
Despite being a relatively new country on the Southeast Asia tourism trail, Myanmar has established itself as a highly capable MICE destination. It does, however, offer a wholly unique range of destinations and experiences that particularly appeal to the adventure and culture-hungry traveller.
SMALL TO MEDIUM FOCUS
While Myanmar has the ability to host large groups, its current state of development makes it ideal for small to medium-sized groups which can better-leverage its rural charm. Its smaller, untouched regions are ideal for event management and inspiring incentives, while a host of more central venues make for brilliant meeting and conference settings.
INSPIRING ACTIVITIES

BALLOON FLIGHT OVER BAGAN
Observe a majestic sunrise over the temples of Bagan from a hot air balloon and enjoy tea, coffee and croissants while sailing through the sky.
2
INTHA BOAT RACE IN INLE

SUNSET AND SANDBANK COCKTAIL BY THE IRRAWADDY RIVER

YANGON
The country’s largest city and most important commercial centre, Yangon offers a fascinating mix of crumbling colonial architecture, market-lined avenues and a downtown area so green it is nicknamed the ‘Garden City of the East’.
BAGAN
A former capital and ancient city sitting in the heart of Myanmar, Bagan is famous for its breathtaking temple ruins. On par with Cambodia’s Angkor complex, over 2,000 pagodas, monasteries and stupas dot the arid plains, reaching as far as the eyes can see.
INLE LAKE
Located in the Shan State, Inle Lake is the second largest lake in Myanmar with a population of 70,000. Inhabited by the Intha people, these locals are known for their water-bound way of life, unique fishermen with their leg-style rowing and floating homes and temples.
MANDALAY
Sitting along the banks of the Irrawaddy River, Mandalay was the last royal capital of Myanmar and has long been considered the country’s cultural centre. The multitude of sites both in and around the city make for a charming and rewarding visit.
NGAPALI
Unspoiled pristine beaches are the stamp of Ngapali. Un-crowded high class resorts provide exceptional accommodation with an isolated stretch of coastline spanning 7 kilometers. Serviced only by Thandwe Airport, tourist numbers are low creating a private, exclusive atmosphere.
