Upon arrival, meet a friendly local chef and learn how people grow mushrooms, one of the local sources of income. Venture into the garden to harvest some vegetables, and learn how to select fresh products and ingredients essential for Vietnamese cooking.
After harvesting the required vegetables, get ready for a hands-on cooking class. Following the lead of the instructing chef, learn how to create traditional Vietnamese specialties. Then, sit down and enjoy the fruits of the labour while soaking up the peaceful surroundings of the cookery. After filling up, say goodbye to the instructor and head back to the city centre. (L)
