Tour starts with a short transfer to the warehouse (not included in the package). After bike fitting at the warehouse, start riding to Ava, the capital of Myanmar from the 14th to 18th centuries. Take a short ferry ride across the river together with the bikes. Then, travel by bike to discover small villages scattered amidst Ava’s ruins, offering a unique glimpse into local life. We’ll visit the old wooden Bagaya Monastery and the remains of the Royal Palace and Fort.
Then we transfer for an optional ride through picturesque villages towards Amarapura, another former capital whose name means ‘City of Immortality’. Today’s excursion will end at U Bein Bridge with a walk along this iconic 2000-year old teak structure. The bridge is constructed of 984 teak wood posts that were once part of the deserted Inwa Palace. At 1.2 kilometers in length, it’s the world’s longest teak wood construction. Enjoy a stroll along the bridge and the fabulous views of Taungthaman Lake and the surrounding countryside before transferring back to the hotel (not included in the package).
