Experience nature along the way with no traffic disturbance. It takes about 2 hours or more as the train stops at every station such as Putatan, Kinarut and Papar before arriving at Beaufort. Beaufort was named after former British Governor Leicester Paul Beaufort, during World War II, it was the site of a battle between Japanese and Australian forces in late June 1945
Upon arrival, take a walk around the town admiring the shophouses as they retain their original facades before visiting the open-air market locally known as ‘tamu’. Local produce such as fresh fruits and vegetables are sold here. Then, make a quick stop by at Starcevich Monument which was dedicated to Tom Starcevich from the 9th Division Army of Australia during the reconquest of the town by Allied forces on 28th June 1945.
After the tour, drive to Kuala Penyu and transfer to Earth Park Resort, facing the beachfront in Kuala Penyu, Earth Park, a Vegan Eco Resort is managed by a German family. The property features a restaurant and a garden facing a wonderful stretch of white sandy beach by the blue ocean.
Tuck-in to a local lunch, relax on the beach or take a swim in the waters at leisure. Around 15:00 head back to Kota Kinabalu and drop off to the hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Tg Aru to Beaufort by Train (92.6km): Approx 1hrs
Beaufort to Kuala Penyu (44.4km): Approx 45min
