Buffalo Mozzarella Cooking Class
- Half Day
Welcome to this Private Exclusive Farm and Production Facility Tour, as well as the country's first hands-on cheese-making Cooking class!
Change into the required attire provided by the Farm; in your boots and overalls we provide before entering the production side of the farm. Don’t forget to bring your own socks!
Ready and dressed up, this is a great moment to immortalize with a Selfie!
Being a small group allows for an in-depth look at the history and running of the farm and production facility with one of the co-founders of the farm. You will help move the herd to the milking stalls and watch the team in action. Of course there will be some hands on milking practice whilst you discover all the benefits of buffalo milk!
After milking it’s time to wash and scrub the buffalo . At 450 kilos, our buffalos love to eat and you’ll be shown what’s involved to keep our hungry buffalo happy. One of your jobs will be distributing bananas. Also, you will bottle-feed our cuddly calves still in the nursery. Visit maternity and perhaps see a new calf only hours old!
A fun tractor ride will take you to see our always playful chickens, pigs and rabbits nearby.
We will now head off to the lab and start the very special mozzarella cooking class, as well as other tasty dishes with our international chef, and co-founder Rachel.
Enjoy a full brunch: Fresh farm yogurt, muesli & seasonal fruit; cream cheese, homemade jam & baguette; mozzarella & ham omelet; cheesecake; barista coffee, tea or hot chocolate
For Dinner, the menu will differ a little: Ricotta stuffed tomatoes; deep fried mozzarella; green salad with feta; trio of delicious specialty ice-cream; wine or tea / coffee.
Optional (evening tour only) – Join in nightly ritual of “bringing home the buffalo” at the nearby local village and watch the sunset over the mountains or Mekong River depending on where your buffalo were wandering that day!
Your tummies may be a bit full after your meal so take away some home-cooked buffalo cookies and mozzarella.
