Proceed to the historic district of Kamakura and pay a visit to the Great Buddha. Cycle through its narrow alleys and head over to the Zeniarai Benzaiten Shrine. Here, pay a visit to a shrine that is said to have mystical properties. The water here is also believed to pay dividends to those who throw money in it!
Next up is the most important shrine in Kamakura, the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu-Shrine. Established by Minamoto Yoritomo (1147-1199), the shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, the protector of samurai warriors.
