Visit a number of breweries of various sizes and learn about how the taste of the sake reflects the changes in production methods.

Stroll through streets that still radiate a traditional feel and listen along as a guide explains the various traditional and modern sake breweries and their products. Pass by the many sake bars and browse the shops that sell local sake and related products.
Have a simple but delicious Japanese-style lunch at an authentic restaurant, which transforms into a lively izakaya pub at night, serving the sake produced in their neighborhood.
Follow the tour leader to the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum and participate in a guided tour of the museum, learning about the different steps of sake production. Get a feel of how important the balance of the main ingredients water, steamed rice, malt and yeast are and, how the taste of the sake will change according to the mixture of the ingredients.
After the museum tour, sit down with the owner of the brewery and sample different brews, while testing newly acquired knowledge about sake.
At the end of the tour, take the time to shop for some favorites to take back home as gifts or a special memory.
