MEALS [ L ]
The first stop is a restaurant in the centre of Gion, where patrons will encounter a sophisticated yet friendly atmosphere. Enjoy a traditional Japanese dining experience with the tatami flooring, low tables, and cushions. A hollowed out space beneath the tables allows ample space to sit comfortably.
After this, take a leisurely stroll to the next place. As most geisha start to entertain at 18:00, the chance of seeing elegantly attired geisha darting along the winding streets to their engagements is quite high.
The second stop is a cozy restaurant owned by a charming chef from Kyoto, who enjoys entertaining his guests as he prepares each meal. Partake in engaging conversation while sampling each dish, which is prepared with the utmost care and attention, using the finest ingredients.
The final stop of the tour is a bar with a location so clandestine even locals struggle to find it. The d・cor is themed after Japanese moss, and artwork by a famous moss artist is displayed throughout the bar. A variety of spirits are on offer, such as Japanese whiskey and gin, some of which are from local micro-distilleries, and seasonal fresh fruit cocktails are also on the drink menu.
After this delightful evening well spent, either return to the accommodation or continue to explore the beauty of the city independently.
